Here’s a new pictures that I took of Ben outside the other day.

Pennsylvania has more than 2,100 breeding facilities in the state—many of which have 100 dogs or more. A recent Oprah Winfrey Show highlighted the horrific conditions at Pennsylvania puppy mills with undercover footage taken at a facility in Lancaster, PA.
Representative James Casorio has introduced comprehensive legislation (H.B. 2525), backed by Governor Rendell and supported by more than 90 legislators, to overhaul Pennsylvania’s regulation of breeding facilities. Pennsylvania is widely considered to be a haven for puppy mills, and it is time to put an end to this cruelty.

Here are some new pictures that I took of Halley, Ben and Mia too!
Happy Birthday to Halley! He just celebrated his 7th birthday on 1/11. He is also doing much better… the vet has been monitoring him close, and now has him on 14 units of insulin, which seems to be just about the right dose. He is eating and drinking like he used to, and doesn’t seem to be having any other problems.
We have a new deck
We have the same old dog
Why don’t you come over and see them both!

No need to bring any food or gifts, we’ll have plenty of food, drink and fun! Remember to wear slobber proof clothes, Ben drools alot when he gets excited.
Just a reminder that this is this Saturday, and the weather is looking to be very nice!
Here are some cute pictures that I took of Mia while she was sleeping in our bathroom.

You can see all of the pictures here.
Bridget and I took the dogs out for the day on Saturday. We wanted to take them for a walk for some exercise, and also for a quick swim in the Brandywine creek, since it was such a nice day out!
First we started at the West Valley Nature Area, which is in Downingtown just off of Route 322. We got tired pretty quickly because there were alot of steep hills (Halley and Ben just laid down and quit walking after a while!)… and we also couldn’t get to the creek without tresspassing on private property.

We then followed North Creek road off of 322, looking for a good spot to park with access to the Brandywine. We found a nice little park, but unfortunately no pets were allowed!

After crossing 162, we found the Stroud Preserve, which was wonderful since it is 574 acres of open nature preserve with walking trails, ponds, and access to the Brandywine… it was also very dog freindly too which was great!

And both Halley and Ben were able to cool off and go for a swim. We found out that Ben loves to swim, he kept swimming around and around even after we got Halley out and wouldn’t come out of the water until we started to pretend that we were leaving!

At the end of the day I had tripped over some rocks by the creek’s edge, and fell down with my camera! Yes, my honey asked if I wanted her to hold the camera for me, since she tripped over the same rock, but I stupidly said “no thanks”. I’m glad the camera was 100% ok, except for a small scuff mark on the outer lens barrel, but you can see from this picture my honey took to “test out the camera” that I was a bit upset at first!

Here are some new pictures of Halley, Ben and Shay all of them looking cute and adorable!

I just snapped some pictures of the snow falling from last night. It was really coming down fast at 9pm when these were taken, although it stopped pretty soon after that. We got an inch or two overall, and it was slick out during the drive in the morning. Thankfully we have the 4×4 in the Blazer, as Chester County seems to think that one light pass on all the roads is enough for them to do to make them “driveable”.

You can see Halley loves playing in the snow. He will even use his nose to try and make (and eat) snowballs!

Here’s another new addition to our growing family. Shay was rescued by Spay and Save, a non profit organization my mother-in-law does volunteer work for that cares for and finds good homes for stray and unwanted pets.
Shay is still adjusting to her new home and to Halley and Ben, but she very lovable and certainly a people person
Here are some pictures:
