We have some newborn bunnies in our backyard, right under our deck. They are so cute, and only a couple of days old because they still have their eyes closed and are only an inch or two long. I got some great pictures of them:

We’re going to keep a close eye on them so the dogs don’t get too close to them, and make sure that mom is back sometime tonight to feed them. We put out some food for her too.

I thought that this was a funny story. Roger Waters, of Pink Floyd fame, was playing a concert at the Coachella music festival in Southern California, when his famous giant inflatable Pig made a break for it and floated away. The Pig is from one of his songs of the same name, on Pink Floyd’s 1977 anti-captialist Animals album. The album was inspired by George Orwell’s book Animal Farm.
I saw this Pig at Veteran’s Stadium during Pink Floyd’s 1994 Division Bell concert, and it is huge. The one from the concert that was lost was as tall as a 2 story house, and as wide as 2 buses. It’s funny since I’m listening to all Pink Floyd at work today.
INDIO, Calif. – When things go bad for a huge inflatable pig, don’t expect it to be pretty.
A helium-filled swine, released into the night sky during Roger Waters’ headlining set Sunday at the Coachella music festival in the Southern California desert, has been found in pieces.
Two couples found tattered halves of the pig in their yards, a few miles from the festival grounds.

We went for our portrait photography field trip today at Newlin Grist Mill Park. It was an overcast day, but at least it stayed dry out and we had plenty of soft light to work with. The park itself was beautiful, and was an excellent place to take portraits at with many photogenic scenes and locations.
Here are a few ducks that I got pictures of:

I’m sure I’ll have some of my portraits posted over at www.kelleherphoto.com shortly.

Just wanted to remind everyone to stop by your local polling place and vote in the Pennsylvania Primary. Every vote counts and I think a strong turnout sends a loud message that we want and need change in this country.
There’s plenty of information available on this website along with polling locations: http://www.dos.state.pa.us/voting/

Bridget and I went to the Philadelphia Flower Show after work on Wednesday. It was nice because it was much, much less crowded going on a weeknight this year… last year we went on the opening day, Sunday, and it was packed with wall to wall people.
Unfortunately the displays this year didn’t seem anywhere near as beautiful or impressive as they were last year.
I did get plenty of pictures though, here are a few:
