I just snapped some pictures of the snow falling from last night. It was really coming down fast at 9pm when these were taken, although it stopped pretty soon after that. We got an inch or two overall, and it was slick out during the drive in the morning. Thankfully we have the 4×4 in the Blazer, as Chester County seems to think that one light pass on all the roads is enough for them to do to make them “driveable”.

You can see Halley loves playing in the snow. He will even use his nose to try and make (and eat) snowballs!
You can see all of the pictures here.

I stumbled across this site, “My Super Proposal“, back in October… probably from a link from one of my many daily email newsletters, like Good Morning Silicon Valley.
It was a touching story, this guy, who called himself “JP”, wanted to propose to his girlfriend. JP thought it would be a wonderfully sweet idea to do it on national TV, using an ad aired during the Super Bowl.Â
I was touched by his story and he seemed like a nice enough guy, so I sent him some money ($5) towards his $2.5 million dollar goal. Not much, but I thought he might just make it to his goal with some buzz about his site, or at least if he didn’t the money would be donated to the local Children’s hospital.
Well, today I was reading Fox Sports News and saw this article! It looks like he was only able to raise $75,000, which isn’t bad, but certainly not enough for his commercial. However, an undisclosed company is paying for the commercial, so he will get to propose during the Super Bowl, and her response is going to be videotaped by a friend of theirs and posted online immediately to sites like YouTube.
Congratulations JP, whoever you are! I guess we’ll find out during the big game.

Here’s another new addition to our growing family. Shay was rescued by Spay and Save, a non profit organization my mother-in-law does volunteer work for that cares for and finds good homes for stray and unwanted pets.Â
Shay is still adjusting to her new home and to Halley and Ben, but she very lovable and certainly a people person 🙂
Here are some pictures:

We have a small sheep farm just down the road from our house on Grove Road. Everytime we go driving by there during the day we just have to look at the cute little sheep grazing around. Of course I make a couple of “baa” sounds too 🙂
Here’s a bunch of pictures that I took of them last weekend for your enjoyment!

In that last picture, one of them is looking at me like “what are you doing here?”

It looks like Barbaro has unfortunately had a setback in his recovery. I know Bridget and I really hope he gets better really soon, she just loves him so. I’m sure he’ll be fine because he is a strong spirited guy who I am sure wants to get better.
KENNETT SQUARE, Pa. – Barbaro has suffered a significant setback in his recovery from laminitis, with damaged tissue removed from the Kentucky Derby winner’s left hind hoof.
Barbaro was being treated aggressively for his discomfort and is in stable condition, according to a statement released Wednesday morning by the University of Pennsylvania’s New Bolton Center.
The tissue was removed Tuesday night.
