Congratulations to Elizabeth/Bette (or Mom) and Don!
Bridget and I want to thank you all for your support during this difficult time. Our baby passed away due to complications from spina bifida on Wednesday, April 11th. We chose not to have a private burial service.
Thank you to everyone who sent flowers, they really helped cheer us up. We posted pictures so you can see what they look like.Â
We love and appreciate all of you.
Well we’ve been back from our sailing trip and vacation for a little while now, but with everything that has been going on with being busy at work I haven’t had a change to post about it yet… sorry about the delay.
The boat was very nice, the Arabella. It is a 3 masted staysail schooner, 160 feet long, 24 foot beem and 12 foot draft. The boat has 20 staterooms which can hold up to 42 passengers, but our cruise had 17 people and 8 crew, which made things nice… you have room to move around since it wasn’t crowded at all, and the crew were very helpful and attentive to everyone’s needs.
The Arabella was actually previously owned by Kelly McGillis, who had the boat docked in Flordia. There was another boat next to hers which caught fire and damaged hers, so the insurance company wrote it off as a loss, and sold it to the present owners at auction.Â
The boat was 115 feet long, but they cut the hull in half and added 45 feet of passenger cabin space in the middle of the boat… along with completely rehauling everything else on the boat. They did a great job as you would never know the boat had that much work on it, and it was in outstanding condition.
We got St. Martin, Anguilla, and St. Barth’s. All of the islands were very nice, and the weather was nice for the beginning of the week. Unfortunately it rained the last few days so we were stuck on the boat with not too much to do.

Just wanted to let everyone know we’re safe in the Carribean and having lots of fun! So much fun that we won’t be logging into the computer anymore during the trip! The boat, the Arabella, is very nice and spaceous for a boat, and the islands are beautiful!
We’ll have pictures to post when we return!
Bridget, Mom and I all went to the Philadelphia Flower Show on Sunday. Of course with it being opening day and on the weekend, the show was packed with several thousand people… which made seeing everything a bit of a hassle. But overall we all enjoyed seeing it very much.Â
There was only on exhibit that was small and closed off, which had a line we had to wait in for over 30 minutes to see, which seemed like a waste of time. All of the other displays were very interesting and beautiful. And of course I took a lot of pictures… over 500 of them!
Barbie from Valley Forge Flowers was again asked to do the big display at the entrance of the show, and it was very impressive! It was neat because Bridget and I could see things that reminded us of the flowers that she did for our wedding.
Another display we all liked was this one:
And of course I got plenty of closeup pictures of some of the flowers:

I got a few nice pictures of Bridget with Madeline when Jenn and Steve were over the house this weekend. Aren’t they both cute!

Here are some more ultrasound pictures of the baby. This time the baby was very active, moving about a lot, and turning over.Â
We also heard the heartbeat again, which was strong at 158bpm.
