Bridget, Mom Kelleher and I all went to Longwood Gardens this last Saturday. My wifey cake was busy reading her Harry Potter, but she was nice enough to set aside some time since I really wanted to go to Longwood, both to see (and of course take pictures) of all of the flowers and displays there. Also I wanted to go because they had a beautiful fireworks display that night, which they have 4 times a year.
The gardens are impressive, with visitors from all over the world viewing miles of outdoor and indoor exhibits. And the fireworks were very impressive, set to music from Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony and colored water fountains. My honey, who hates fireworks, was even impressed!
Here, of course, are plenty of pictures of the gardens:

We bought a purple martin house for mom and put it up in the backyard a couple of weeks ago. We already have a purple martin family that moved in and is living there! We are so happy since they can be very picky and we also got the house up late in the season. They are very cute!

Â
I also got some other birds on camera too:

More pictures of some critters in our back yard. I got pictures of a squrriel and a bun-bun hopping along. There was also a cute little baby chipmonk there at the same time too, but it was too small and fast for me to get any pictures.
