Bridget and I joined up with some online freinds from the Nikon Cafe site on Saturday. We went to Conowingo Dam, which is where US Route 1 crosses over the Susquehanna River, just north of the beginning of the Chesapeake Bay. Afterwards, we had a BBQ and Portrait photo session. The day was a bit cold and overcast, but we had a good time anyway.
Here are some pictures of the dam… those fishermen were crazy, it was 50 degrees out, and I imagine the water was even colder:
The dam is a great place for bird watching, and this time of the year there are many Eagles to see. We were kind of hoping to see an Eagle poop on a Cowboy’s head, but alas we missed that shot!
They were very active, as you can see:
But there were plenty of photographers there with long lenses. I think the photographer to eagle ratio was about 4:1.
I got some shots of some other little birdies too back at the BBQ:

Bridget and I went to the Delaware County Halloween Parade in Media, PA this Sunday. We got to see Jenn & Steve with Madeline and Vanessa with Maddie and Ben.
Here are some of the pictures:
Bridget and I had the chance this weekend to visit Fallingwater, an amazing house that was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright as a vacation home for the Kaufmann family. It was designed to to blend into the landscape, and sits over the Bear Run river and waterfalls.
The house and tour of the inside was very interesting, and we were treated to a beautiful sunny day with all of the fall colors. Of course I have plenty of pictures:
We also stopped a few places along the way home to take pictures:
And we just had to stop and take a look at the 1,051 pound pumpkin that was on display at the local farmer’s market just before getting back onto the turnpike:
Bridget and I would like to thank everyone that came over this Saturday to Ben’s 13th birthday and our deck warming party. It was so nice to see everyone and we had such a good time… and Ben enjoyed all of the company for his birthday too!
Here are some of the pictures from the party:

We have a new deck
We have the same old dog
Why don’t you come over and see them both!

No need to bring any food or gifts, we’ll have plenty of food, drink and fun! Remember to wear slobber proof clothes, Ben drools alot when he gets excited.
Just a reminder that this is this Saturday, and the weather is looking to be very nice!
Congratulations to Holly and Todd on their wedding this weekend. Bridget and I both had a wonderful time. Here are some of the pictures that I took:
