Siobhán just loves her jumperoo now. Here’s some video of her playing in it and smiling.

I laugh out loud each time I watch this video clip. Mommy is trying to get Siobhán to smile for the camera… but Siobhán decides to do something else instead!

Here’s a video of mommy playing with Siobhán’s belly button.

Our little miss Siobhán had her one month checkup at the doctors. She weights 7 pounds and 10 ounces, which puts her in the 10-25% percentile for weight. Her head is 14 1/4 inches, which puts her in the 25% percentile. She is 21 inches long, which puts her in the 50% percentile for height. And according to her grandmother she is in the 100% percentile in beauty!

Well while Bridget was in labor, someone had a question about what the stations of labor stood for, because she was at -2 at the time. So I was happy to explain, and Vanessa was happy to video my silly demonstration.

UPDATE 10/1: I received a phone call from Krapf’s today, and was informed that they took immediate action when they found out about this situation and replaced the driver on this route. They also asked for permission to use the video for training purposes, which I said they could do.
UPDATE 9/22: This morning (Monday September 22nd), I saw a West Goshen police car sitting on Pennsylvania Avenue at about 8am looking at the intersection. Bus # 125 came through right as scheduled and did not come to a complete stop again at the stop sign. The police car then followed him, so I would have to assume that he probably was planning on talking to the driver after he dropped the children off at school, or got back to the bus depot.
I went out again, this time with my video camera, and filmed this on Thursday and Friday last week, and then again Monday, Tuesday and Thursday this week. Apparently nothing was done about this driver, either by the busing company or the police. I think it dangerous to have a school bus driving like this, especially when kids are on board.

I got this email from Al Gore & The We Campaign today.
Friends,
I’ve been deeply frustrated. I suspect a lot of you have been too.
We’re facing such huge challenges and all you hear through the media are demagogic chants like “drill, drill, drill.”
Skyrocketing energy prices. The climate crisis. Unraveling financial markets. Wars that just happen to be in places with a lot of oil. These are all just different faces of exactly the same thing. As I’ve said in the past, we’re borrowing money from China to buy oil from the Persian Gulf to burn it in ways that destroy the future of human civilization. And every bit of that has to change.
We all know what we have to do. Ask anybody on the street and they’ll tell you. We need to “Repower America” — invest in ourselves, here at home, with clean, economical energy technologies that we know work. And be the global leader as these technologies take off around the world.
And ask anyone, and they’ll also tell you why it isn’t happening: the oil and coal lobbies — and the politicians who do their bidding.
It’s very simple.
So the Alliance for Climate Protection has put together an ad that tells this simple story. And we’re going to put it on national cable TV.
If we can raise an additional $80,000 online, we’ll also put it on 60 Minutes and 20/20 this coming week. Wouldn’t that be great?
Can you help? Just go here:
http://www.wecansolveit.org/oilandcoal
Here’s the script:
The solution to our climate crisis seems simple.
Repower America with wind and solar.
End our dependence on foreign oil. A stronger economy.
So why are we still stuck with dirty and expensive energy?
Because big oil spends hundreds of millions of dollars to block clean energy.
Lobbyists, ads, even scandals.
All to increase their profits, while America suffers.
Breaking big oil’s lock on our government …
Now that’s change.
We’re the American people and we approve this message. And you can view the ad on our donation page, here:
http://www.wecansolveit.org/oilandcoal
We’re taking on the oil and coal lobbies, because there’s simply no other choice. We need your help.
Thanks,
Al Gore
