Bridget, Siobhán and I went to RotorFest 2008 at the American Helicopter Museum this weekend. It is an airshow dedicated to helicopters, right in West Chester at the airport and museum. It was a fun event, since it was really neat to see the helicopters up close and in action, and it wasn’t too crowded at all. The only downside is we didn’t get to see any military helicopters in action this year.
We saw many different models of helicopters on the ground:
And a few more in action in the air:
We also saw the US Army Black Daggers perform a HALO jump:
And of course miss Siobhán enjoyed the show and getting behind the stick in a UH-60 Black Hawk
You can see all of the pictures here or view a slideshow here.
How adorable is the photo of her with the pilot???? OMG!
Just saw the one of her “piloting” too! Adorable. It looks like she really knows what she’s doing, maybe Siobhan will have a future in the Aviation field 😉
Yes that pilot was a good sport. It was funny, because some of the other pilots came around and saw him with Siobhán and said “oh your not letting HIM hold her?!?!?”. We were guessing that he might have had a reputation for being a bit clumsy.
The one with her piloting the Black Hawk was fun too… too bad she was a bit sleepy behind the stick!
OK, the one in the Black Hawk is just not right. What’s going on with you people? Is this some sort of post-partum condition? The worst I did with my new toy was dress her up in different outfits and take pictures while she looked at me like, “Come on?”
PS – What’s the pilot’s name? Stationed somewhere around here?
LOL Brie! Yes we are crazy people, taking out toy out and making her pose in all sorts of silly pictures! It’s lots of fun, although I am sure when she’s older she will wonder what the heck we were thinking!
The pilot was married, otherwise I would have gotten his number for you!
