Chester Restaurant Festival 2008"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bridget and I went to the Chester County Restaurant Festival in downtown West Chester borough today.\u00c2\u00a0 We got there early this year, and were very glad we did.\u00c2\u00a0 Parking was very difficult to get by the time we left for the day, and it also got very crowded.\u00c2\u00a0 This year&#8217;s selection was excellent as always, and we were lucky to get another beautiful day as well!<\/p>\n<p>We had some bruschetta<strong><\/strong> and cannoli&#8217;s first at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.downtownwestchester.com\/restaurants.php?id=34\">Trattoria Alberto<\/a>.<\/p>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thekellehers.com\/index.php\/wpg2?g2_itemId=54953&amp;g2_GALLERYSID=TMP_SESSION_ID_DI_NOISSES_PMT\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"20080921-17243\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thekellehers.com\/gallery2\/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&amp;g2_itemId=54954&amp;g2_GALLERYSID=TMP_SESSION_ID_DI_NOISSES_PMT\" alt=\"20080921-17243\" width=\"150\" height=\"100\" \/><\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thekellehers.com\/index.php\/wpg2?g2_itemId=54956&amp;g2_GALLERYSID=TMP_SESSION_ID_DI_NOISSES_PMT\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"20080921-17245\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thekellehers.com\/gallery2\/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&amp;g2_itemId=54957&amp;g2_GALLERYSID=TMP_SESSION_ID_DI_NOISSES_PMT\" alt=\"20080921-17245\" width=\"150\" height=\"100\" \/><\/a>\n<p>Then we headed straight over to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gilmoresrestaurant.com\/\">Gilmore&#8217;s<\/a>, since they usually sell out of food pretty early each year.\u00c2\u00a0 I had some Corn Dog Shrimp with Honey Truffle Sauce&#8230;. this was outstanding and is easily my vote for best dish.\u00c2\u00a0 Peter looked like he was having a great time cooking and socializing with his customers, and everyone I saw was enjoying his food.<\/p>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thekellehers.com\/index.php\/wpg2?g2_itemId=54965&amp;g2_GALLERYSID=TMP_SESSION_ID_DI_NOISSES_PMT\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"20080921-17249\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thekellehers.com\/gallery2\/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&amp;g2_itemId=54966&amp;g2_GALLERYSID=TMP_SESSION_ID_DI_NOISSES_PMT\" alt=\"20080921-17249\" width=\"150\" height=\"100\" \/><\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thekellehers.com\/index.php\/wpg2?g2_itemId=54968&amp;g2_GALLERYSID=TMP_SESSION_ID_DI_NOISSES_PMT\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"20080921-17250\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thekellehers.com\/gallery2\/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&amp;g2_itemId=54969&amp;g2_GALLERYSID=TMP_SESSION_ID_DI_NOISSES_PMT\" alt=\"20080921-17250\" width=\"150\" height=\"100\" \/><\/a>\n<p>I then got some egg rolls and General Tso&#8217;s chicken at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.margaretkuos.com\/\">Margaret Kuo&#8217;s<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 I get the egg roll each year, which is the best egg roll you can get.\u00c2\u00a0 This year, I also tried the General Tso&#8217;s and Sweet and Sour chicken, which were also both outstanding.<\/p>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thekellehers.com\/index.php\/wpg2?g2_itemId=54992&amp;g2_GALLERYSID=TMP_SESSION_ID_DI_NOISSES_PMT\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"20080921-17258\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thekellehers.com\/gallery2\/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&amp;g2_itemId=54993&amp;g2_GALLERYSID=TMP_SESSION_ID_DI_NOISSES_PMT\" alt=\"20080921-17258\" width=\"150\" alt=\"20080921-17269\" width=\"150\" height=\"100\" \/><\/a>\n<p>Bridget also tried the Pumpkin Ravioli with Butternut Squash sauce at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carlinosmarket.com\/\">Carlino&#8217;s<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 It was very good, just a little too sweet for her taste.<\/p>\n<a
