With the warmer spring like weather here, the birds around our house have been very active. Right now I have 4 nests on our front porch just outside of my office window. There is one larger one that built a nest on top of a support column, and a few smaller ones that are hidden between the shutters and brick. They hang out all day long, on the windows and in the front tree. I just love being able to watch them during the day.

We decided that it was time to put Ben to sleep yesterday. He was having a lot of difficulties with moving around and getting up off of the floor. The vet said that his breathing was very shallow, so it was time before he started really suffering.

He was a wonderful dog, very gentle and loving, and he will certainly be missed.

Siobhan enjoyed the Easter Egg hunt so much yesterday at Waterloo Garden that we just had to have another Easter egg hunt for her here at home again on Easter Sunday. She just loved going around the yard collecting eggs and putting them into her basket.

We were happy to be able to share Easter dinner with my Mom, her husband Don and Bob Degnan at our home this year.

We took Siobhan to her first Easter Egg hunt today at Waterloo Gardens. She loved to see the Easter Bunny, but still isn’t completely comfortable getting too close just yet. And she had a blast finding a lot of eggs that were hidden about.

Fionn has had a busy week with visitors! Here are pictures of him and Siobhan with their cousins Eric, Carly and Ava.

Here’s a picture of Mr. Fionn at brunch this morning. Dr. Becker saw him this morning and he is doing very well. His weight is back up to 7 pounds and 10 1/2 ounces, up from 7 pounds 7 ounces on Saturday. The doctor also told us that he has a dog named “Finn” (but named after Finland).
